Dean Pitchford’s NICKEL BAY NICK wins third place in Minnesota’s 2016-17 Maud Hart Lovelace Youth Re

We were very pleased to learn that NICKEL BAY NICK (Penguin), by Dean Pitchford has won a 2016-2017 Maud Lovelace Award in Minnesota. It took third place in Division 1!

On 4/22/2017, the day before the birthday of the much loved Minnesota author Maud Hart Lovelace, the 2016-2017 winners were announced.

Dean has already enjoyed meeting students from Fernbrook Elementary School in Maple Grove, MN via Skype, thanks to the lovely library media specialist there.
