Some of you may recall seeing the Kirkus starred review of THE THUMBTACK DANCER (Alazar Press) by Leslie Tryon and illustrated by Jan Spivey Gilchrist.

Some of you may have seen Leslie Tryon and Jahkil, the young tap dancer Jan Spivey Gilchrist used as the model for her illustrations, tap dancing together at the American Library Association Conference in Chicago in June.
