Don't miss Marilyn Singer reciting poetry from her upcoming books at the Poetry Blast at ALA on

If you're going to the 2019 American Library Association Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., be sure to check out the Poetry Blast, which has become an ALA tradition and which, this year, will be held on the PopTop Stage on Saturday, June 22 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm in the Walter Washington Convention Center.

Marilyn Singer, who has written over one hundred books for children and young adults, and Barbara Genco, who has over 25 years of experience in public library collection development as well as extensive experience in reviewing and writing for the library profession, co-host the event. Here's the line-up:

Marilyn Singer will be treating attendees by reading from her new books, WILD IN THE STREETS, illustrated by Gordy Wright (Words & Pictures/Quarto), which comes out in September 2019, and WHO NAMED THEIR PONY MACARONI? illustrated by Ryan McAmis (Disney/Hyperion), which is scheduled to come out in October 2019.

Come join the fun. You'll be glad you did.

So her young fans get the chance to enjoy Marilyn Singer's poetry blasts, she is also available for Skype chats with children. For more information, visit Balkin Buddies.

Have a wonderful ALA!
